Experience Design (XD) is the practice of designing products, processes, services, events, and environments with a focus placed on the quality of the user experience and culturally relevant solutions. —Wikipedia

Whether you’re developing products for home or work or lighting solutions for new or existing spaces, we offer our expertise and experience, along with a broad network of experienced designers, engineers and architects.

CONCEPT AND DESIGN

By focusing on user experience and ergonomics (the visual, non-visual and physiological aspects of light), we create solutions that fulfill your needs. We employ design thinking methodologies, including rapid prototyping.

RESEARCH AND EXECUTION

We conduct technical evaluations, trend analysis and focus groups to understand the market fit of your product and propose specific improvements. We manage the entire project from paper to production, avoiding the “prototype trap” in between.

Tools

Shadows are the negatives of light. They give shape and direction, and can be easily captured with paper and a light source.   We create paper models for rapid prototyping, using techniques learned from kirigami and origami as well as bookbinding handicraft.

This is a paper model representing our team's daylight analysis of an industrial art shop. The challenge was to provide enough light for the artists. The top layer represented the daylight, the middle layer the electrical light and the bottom layer the lack of light reaching the artists.
